SUMMARY When you switch activities, wallpapers flicker. If that's important, I have 2 monitors (4k@150% and 2k@115%) with total screen real estate of 5280x2560px². STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Create multiple activities (I have 4) 2. Set different wallpapers for each screen on each activity (8 in total) 3. Start switching activities OBSERVED RESULT When you switch from one activity to another, screen starts flickering on activity switch. Visually it looks like transition happens like this: old wallpaper > black > new wallpaper EXPECTED RESULT No flickering SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: Arch Linux KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.1 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.103.0 Qt Version: 5.15.8 Kernel Version: 6.1.12-zen1-1-zen (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland Graphics Processor: AMD Radeon RX Vega M GL Graphics ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Apologies if thats wrong category for this bug, I am not sure where it should go. It is kinda activity related but wallpaper handling itslef doesn't seem to be an activity thing.
Can reproduce, not sure how to fix it. Perhaps by saving the thumbnail of the old containment?
I think we would have to, yeah. But don't we already do that in support of the thumbnails displayed in the "Manage Desktops and Panels" window?
