SUMMARY The current back and forward navigation method is not really usable. I understand the need of creating something original, but navigating with swipe gestures is simply the best method on touch devices. No one wants to open a menu and tap on a back button or have back and forward buttons in the browser bar like in early Android times. I strongly encourage you to implement this and open the menu with a button instead!
There are already swipe gestures on the navigation bar
What do you mean? Atm you swiping from the edges opens the menu. I think it would be better if those gestures would navigate to the next or previous page.
If you swipe on the actual toolbar then it works. However that gives you onky a small space to do so. I agree that after it has been common for other mobile browsers to use the whole screen to swipe back and foreward this is kindnof of the expected behaviour right now. I appreciate that this is a design decision from Anglefish, but I feel that it might be good to review if the curreny solution is still the best. Maybe the whole screen could be made back/foreward and the toolbar gets the current functionality to show menu items ?
