Settings dialog

SUMMARY
The only way to access the wallpaper/ desktop settings is through a right mouse click on the desktop.

As a user I expect to have all settings related to appearance to be shown in the appearance section in de system settings. And these settings include the desktop appearance as well.

When you open System Settings, it displays the "Quick Settings" page by default. On this page, there's a button with the text, "Change Wallpaper." If you click that, it will open the wallpaper config dialog and from there you can change the wallpaper.

At the moment, for technical reasons it's not possible to have a "Wallpaper" page that lives in the "Appearance" section of System Settings. This is something we want to eventually do, and it's on our radar screen. But it may take a long time to do.

Aha! I don't know the technical reasons of-course. But if my memory serves me correctly it used to be there as well. You have it on the radar and once it gets implemented I'm a happy camper. :-)
