Display scaling settings

SUMMARY

When display is scaled, the wallpaper is zoomed in.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE

1. Create a fresh new user
2. Login with wayland
3. Scale display

OBSERVED RESULT

Wallpaper is zoomed in

EXPECTED RESULT

Wallpaper fit to screen

I can sort of reproduce the bug. In step 2 for me, KScreen sets an automatic display scale of 250% and the wallpaper is indeed zoomed in rather than scaled.

When I manually change the scale to something else, Plasma figures it out and then displays the wallpaper correctly. If I go back to the original auto-generated 250% scale factor, it also still works.

Can you reproduce this? Or are you unable to get the wallpaper to display correctly at any scale other than 100%?

Nate, I'll try to reproduce the bug based on what you suggested, but I can confirm that there is clearly bug here which causes unexpected zooming of the wallpaper. So, the bug shouldn't be closed.

Bugs get automatically closed when they're in NEEDSINFO status for over a month. They can always be re-opened if and when the info is provided. So please do provided the requested info. :)

I can confirm that this is no longer a problem. The issue might have been fixed in some subsequent updates since I reported it.
