SUMMARY Since 2.57 the autohiding was fixed! But it gets only activated after clicking on the panel once, at least in my case. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Connect an extra monitor with an assigned autohiding panel 2. wait, click on the panel once OBSERVED RESULT The panel doesnt autohide until you click on it once. EXPECTED RESULT The panel should get focussed (?) when you connect the display and it gets loaded, so that this function works. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: Fedora Linux 37 KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.0 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.103.0 Qt Version: 5.15.8 Kernel Version: 6.1.12-200.fc37.x86_64 (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland Graphics Processor: Mesa Intel® HD Graphics 4000
While the panel is visible, can you attach a screenshot or phone photo of your whole desktop that shows all monitors and the position of the problematic panel?
https://cloud.uol.de/s/zApgLTp46PyBG8P I mentioned that in another bug. 1. screen: primary, normal taskbar 2. secondary screen to the left, centered not floating, autohiding I think this is related to message popups not autohiding too. On a fresh KDE install I think it worked, but for some reason sometimes it doesnt. For example currently it works as it should.
So which panel doesn't autohide? And *when* doesn't it autohide? Are you saying that on login, it's inappropriately visible, and then when you click on it it hides? Does it hide once? Or does this fix it and then it hides thereafter? Or something else? I need more detailed information on *exactly* how you have the system set up and *exactly* what's happening surrounding the bug. :)
