SUMMARY
I have a multi-monitor setup: the laptop's screen is replicated by an external monitor (both 1920x1080), above which is another monitor (2560x1440). When I log out/restart/shutdown, the screen is not correctly placed and ends up having two screens stacked on top of each other, with one visibly smaller.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Use a multi-monitor setup with a vertical arrangement of screens
2. Try to log out/reboot/shutdown

OBSERVED RESULT
The log out screens from all the monitors appear stacked on just one.

EXPECTED RESULT
A log out screen is shown on each individual monitor.

X11 or Wayland? If it's X11, does it work on Wayland?
Comment 2 Riccardo Robecchi 2023-02-25 17:50:16 UTC
X11. Wayland doesn't work on my setup for whatever reason.
Comment 3 Nate Graham 2023-02-28 18:43:31 UTC
Does this issue happen when none of the screens are being mirrored to other screens?
Comment 4 Riccardo Robecchi 2023-03-01 09:38:58 UTC
Yes, it still happens.
Comment 5 Nate Graham 2023-04-21 15:23:24 UTC
Can reproduce on Wayland with a unified/mirrored mixed-DPI/scale multimonitor arrangement.
Comment 6 Riccardo Robecchi 2025-06-20 10:10:21 UTC
This seems to work now, at least on X11. Nate, can you confirm it works on Wayland, too?
Comment 7 Nate Graham 2025-06-20 16:07:45 UTC
Yep, fixed for me on Wayland too!
