I appear to be getting default configurations overwriting my saved preferences in the Indi Control Panel as shown by the attached text.
This problem has been better defined for me by the help of Forum members, especially Frederick Ruegsegger on #90756 "For my part, this has been fiddly from time to time - particularly during configuration of a new or revised profile."
Fred has defined this well, and since I commenced doing Bug reporting on Nightly Builds I have have reloaded the Linux PC with 3 new OS and now run an exclusive Kubuntu SSD drive only - each time I blame my system as my KStars Ver 3.5.7 has none of the Fatal issues I am now finding with a new build.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. An Mature KStars is annoying sometimes, but not with fatal crashes.
2. A new build is difficult to configure each night for imaging, hours are lost in the setup.
3. The logs show the configuration information, but the text entered below the Indi Control Panels indicate that My Saved Configurations may be being overwritten by system default configurations.

OBSERVED RESULT
New Builds of any KStars on a new OS are not stable. They stabilize over time.

EXPECTED RESULT
Without a 'Portable and Editable Configuration File Backup' confirming my preferances, then I'm just getting a factory default setting in my preferances

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS:
Operating System: Kubuntu 22.04
KDE Plasma Version: 5.24.7
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.92.0
Qt Version: 5.15.3
Kernel Version: 5.15.0-60-generic (64-bit)
Graphics Platform: X11
Processors: 8 × Intel® Core™ i7-3770 CPU @ 3.40GHz
Memory: 31.3 GiB of RAM
Graphics Processor: llvmpipe

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Would you please consider a USB drive backup / restore file system where we could just reload all our details, equipment, optial trains and preferances?
Thanks

MY Location is always correct, except when it places all targets below the horizon. This was fixed by Jasem at my request years ago
The QSI does not remember my camera temperature, cooling ramps, This occurred when cooling ramps were introduced. WCS degrees Rotation and observer name always show empty.
Solver is never enabled, I often re-enable it 5 or 6 times during startup - then it's good til I do a meridian flip and we start again.

KStars in 3.6.4 and beyond saves information per profile/train. All INDI settings are handled by INDI driver.
