SUMMARY Gwenview version 23.03.70 With a multi-screen setup using screens of different aspect ratios, when using the crop tool with the aspect ration "This Screen", the value of "This Screen" doesn't change when moving Gwenview to another screen. In my case I have one 10:16 screen (vertical) and one 16:9 screen, so this issue is very easy to see, but it can also be reproduced with two horizontal screens with different aspect ratios (for example, a 16:9 vs a 16:10). STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. With two screens of different aspect ratios, open an image with Gwenview and start the crop tool. 2. From the "Aspect ratio" pull down select "This Screen". 3. Close the crop tool. 4. Move the Gwenview window to the other screen. 5. Open the crop tool OBSERVED RESULT The aspect ratio "This Screen" is already selected, and using the aspect ratio of the original screen. EXPECTED RESULT The aspect ratio, if "This Screen" is selected, should be of the current screen. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.80 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.103.0 Qt Version: 5.15.8 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION I also tried choosing a different aspect ratio and then choosing "This Screen" again, to see if that resets the remembered aspect ratio - but it does not.
Thank you for the bug report. Unfortunately we were not able to get to it yet. Can we ask you to please check if this is still an issue with Gwenview 25.08.0?
This is indeed still an issue with Gwenview 25.08.0. I tried both the repro listed originally as well as changing the crop frame to something other than "this screen" before moving the window, so that in the new screen I can actually open the menu and select "this screen" again - and it still uses the aspect ratio of the screen where Gwenview was first launched from.
