For the record, I did NOT test this on Wayland. I can NOT confirm that this bug is exclusive to X11.

Hmm… I'm afraid mine was not about visuals, but about behavior as well. For example, I couldn't click on the bottom-most pixels of a screen to activate applets on the panel — clicks would go below it, hitting the desktop wallpaper or whatever app is down there.

I need to rebuild KWin on that laptop, and check if it's still the case.
