SUMMARY I have two identical 4k LG monitors and after updating to 5.27, I notice that the primary monitor, when waken up from sleep after inactivity, will blink/flicker once quickly then resumes normal. This only happens to the primary display. And if I turn off my secondary display physically, it does not happen to the only one displayer either, so seems like related to the recent change of multi-screen support from 5.27 GPU is AMD 5700xt with open source driver from the kernel. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Leave the PC idle for some inactivity 2. Wait until the monitors to enter sleep mode 2. wake up the monitors by touching the mouse OBSERVED RESULT The primary display then: 1. at first it is turned off and dark as in sleep mode 2. upon waken up, it suddenly goes max brightness 3. then suddenly goes min brightness, so creates a sense of "flickering" or "blinking" 4. then it will be gradually lighting up to normal brightness within about 1 second. EXPECTED RESULT The wake up behavior like before 5.27 or like the secondary display in 5.27 SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: KDE under latest Arch Linux KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.0-1
Are you still experiencing this in Plasma 6?
