STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. program start
2. enter "effects"
3.  enter "Alpha, Mask and Keying"

OBSERVED RESULT
On select  "Alpha, Mask and Keying" i can't see "Motion Tracker", but if i'm searching with "motion", then i see "Motion Tracker" in the results.

EXPECTED RESULT
See  "Motion Tracker" on  "Alpha, Mask and Keying" group

Linux/KDE Plasma: Kubuntu 22.04 LTS

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Installed OpenCV with "sudo apt install libopencv-dev python3-opencv"
OpenCV Version is 4.5.4
German settings on installed Linux

"Motion Tracker" not available at all in version 22.12.2 (installed via kdenlive ppa on Pop!_OS 22.04) but available and searchable in the 22.12.2 appimage

Thanks for your report!

The view enabled on your screenshot only show a curated list of effects. To see all video effects click on the video icon above the search line. However this is the behavior in old Kdenlive versions (and 21.12.3 is about a year old now). Recently it was changed to always show all effects instead of only a curated list. Please update Kdenlive and try again. In case this still happens to you feel free to reopen the report with updated info.

@Bernd this as a packaging limitation. At the moment there are no plans to include openCV for motion tracker in the PPA
