Yeah I think we can improve the amount of visual aids on the manual, but we need to come up with a procedure to keep the screenshots updated, since as you may noticed, a mismatch in krita versions will make the screenshots as good as nothing. As for the second comment about your missing Size properties, please go to https://krita-artists.org/ a community with like-minded people that can help you resolve all your doubts. There is no code in Krita to make the tool options disappear for some users, so the issue is most likely a very old Krita, or a user miss-understanding of the application interface/options, or something else. This is a bug tracker after all, and we can only handle one specific issue on each report.
