Description tneo 2023-02-07 16:50:45 UTC
SUMMARY
Okular opens URL in a browser that is not my default browser set under "default applications". There is no way to set the browser to use in Okular.

I found Bug 363103, but uninstalling a browser to make Okular adhere my system defaults seems unnecessary and cumbersome.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Install Brave and Firefox
2. Verify Firefox is set as default browser under default applications
3. Open a PDF with a link
4. Click on link. Brave is used to open link

OBSERVED RESULT
Clicking the link in the PDF opens the link in Brave.

EXPECTED RESULT
As user I expect Okular to open a URL in my specified browser
And when I click a URL in a PDF the URL is opened in the configured web-browser
And this configuration follows the system default
And this configuration can be set within Okular.
