Not shure if connected to this, but caused the problem: Place attached file in folder 2. Navigate Dolphin to folder with preview enabled 3. OBSERVED RESULT About 10 Windows stating: KIOSkave crashed with Segfault. In a folder with hunderts of those file Plasma crashed with the popping up windows EXPECTED RESULT Working pre-view, no useless windows saying "You cannot submit a bug report", certainly not hundrets of popping up windows SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: KDE neon 5.26 KDE Plasma Version: 5.26.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.102.0 Qt Version: 5.15.8 Kernel Version: 5.15.0-58-generic (64-bit) Graphics Platform: X11 Processors: 16 × AMD Ryzen 7 5700U with Radeon Graphics Memory: 15.0 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor: AMD Radeon Graphics Manufacturer: Acer Product Name: Aspire A515-45G System Version: V1.08 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Seems like I cannot attach more than one file. Well, the other bug only covers the trigger, not the consequence of so many windows being created that Plasma crashes.
If something crashed, we need a backtrace of it so we can figure out what's going on. See https://community.kde.org/Guidelines_and_HOWTOs/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports. Can you please attach one? Thanks!
As stated in comment2 it is not crashing anymore. This is a general problem of popping up so many crash windows showing a useless message that one is unable to send a crash report. That will likely not be easy to fix, but still can prose a big problem.
