Description Matt P. 2023-02-02 16:36:58 UTC
Link to documentation / Online-Help points to non-existing KDE based docu at docs.kde.org
***
This should be an easy fix, just a bit annoying :-)
The only help and the info page that is displayed after updating (e.g. from 7.8. to 7.9)
link to "docs.kde.org" where digikam is not found as an application
See below for details
***

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open Digikam
2. Chose Menu "Help"
3. Chose Sub-Menu "Online Handbook" (3.r last entry, Menu Item translated from my german install)
-> take you to "http://docs.kde.org/?application=digicam&branch=trunk5" which is in fact a t not

The same happens after installing (a newer version), after updating there is a welcome screen, this also has the same broken link-.

OBSERVED RESULT
Documentation not found

EXPECTED RESULT
Open new documentaion at https://docs.digikam.org/

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Windows: Windows 10 (don't think this matters much)

Comment 1 Matt P. 2023-02-02 16:40:10 UTC
Sorry, typo.

"take you to "http://docs.kde.org/?application=digicam&branch=trunk5" which is in fact a t not "
should read
"takes you to "http://docs.kde.org/?application=digicam&branch=trunk5" which is in fact a dead link (digikam not found in KDE-doc)

Thanks for the quick answer, Gilles.
Didn't find that in bugzilla so I thought I'd drop a line.

I am currently reorganizing a pretty large private library and prefer to stick with "stable" so far, but it is for sure good to hear it has already been adressed.

Keep up the great work with digiKam - after some days of learning, it seems to be just what I needed !!!
