Description ouafnico 2023-02-02 07:25:00 UTC
SUMMARY
Using my laptop (Lenovo T490), it's hard to put plasma to keep an energy mode except "saving mode".
When I clic on the battery icon near the clock, when I click on balanced or performance mode, the settings keeps going back to saving mode. I have to click maybe more than 10 times to get the good mode.

I tried to change the parameter in settings, no change.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Clic on battery icon to the right near the clock
2. clic on the battery mode (needs to be on saving)
3. try to change the mode

OBSERVED RESULT
Settings keep getting back to saving

EXPECTED RESULT
Change the setting

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: Arch
KDE Plasma Version: Plasma 5.26.5-1
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.102.0

Plasma's not doing it, it's just showing an accurate depiction of reality to you. This is actually a bug in kernel 6.1.7; see https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=216963.

You are completely right.
The last kernel fixes this behavior.

Thank you
