Sometimes when I wake up and open NeoChat, I'm greeted by a chatroom with several hundred unread messages, with the badge having a green background indicating that I was mentioned by name in at least one message. There doesn't seem to be a way to jump straight to the first (and any additional) unread message mentioning me, so I need to manually scroll up and up and up and up (see https://invent.kde.org/network/neochat/-/issues/51) until I either find it, or find the first unread message and then read everything one by one. Needless to say, this is non-ideal. :)
somewhat duplicate

A bit. TBH I like Telegram's UX better than Element's and I was thinking of something a bit more along those lines. The Element thing would be better than nothing though, especially if it was made substantially more discoverable than it is in Element.
This is also the second time you've reported this but since it's now in bugzilla I'll use it as a way to clear out old issues in Gitlab from when it was used for everything. https://invent.kde.org/network/neochat/-/issues/82
Whoops! I guess I really want it. :)
