STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. open the given png in gwenview OBSERVED RESULT Thumbnail preview is fine, main display is "bleached" as if 50% transparent on white. EXPECTED RESULT E.g. Firefox displays the file just fine. This was a Qt5 PNG decoder bug where the decoder incorrectly read the inverse of the proper gamma value from images without an ICC profile present. Already fixed in 2021.
Problem is gone in version 22.12.3
