Description Henning 2023-01-30 20:57:44 UTC
The loading screen could really help make the loading of elements less laggy, but the same just happens after the screen finished.

So the splash screen just slows down loading even more, it could appear just as an overlay while the elements are loading. At the moments it shows up like this:

1. Splash screen
2. Background with Note widget
3. Taskbar
4. Loading apps on Taskbar
5. Startup apps

Using Fedora KDE 37

No , it really doesn't. :) There's talk of disabling it by default for Plasma 6: https://invent.kde.org/plasma/plasma-desktop/-/issues/69

Let's continue the discussion there to avoid having it in two places.
