SUMMARY import of folders skips 80% of the folders/files, with no message or alert STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. import any folder with 100 subfolders 2. look at garbage results OBSERVED RESULT garbage EXPECTED RESULT files and folders
Have you waited long enough? The imported folders and files must first be recorded by the scanner in the background and saved in the database. Maik
Without a GDB backtrace we can't help. How this is created is described here: https://www.digikam.org/contribute/ Maik
```code block? digikam.general: Action Thread run 1 new jobs digikam.database: No itemShortInfo could be retrieved from the database for image "001" digikam.iojob: Thread Finished digikam.general: One job is done digikam.general: Cancel Main Thread ``` in this example I have selected a folder, named 001, it contains 23 jpg files, not clear what happens here
edit button? it seems that when I'm in the 'Add folder' window (add screenshot button?) and I open the folder I want to import it secretly selects the first file in that folder while I am in the 'folder selection' view, so when I press Choose it actually tries to process the file using the folder processor? I have activated the QT logging but I don't see a related log line
Maik, Do you understand exactly this report ? I'm lost... Gilles
I don't understand Comment 4 either. Are you trying to select multiple folders in the file dialog? I would close the bug, there was a bug when importing folders that the scanner was not started correctly after the import. Maik
Maik, right if there is a duplicate entry, it's better to factorize. Gilles
Thijs, What's about this file using current 8.2.0 AppImage Linux bundle ? It's reproducible ? https://files.kde.org/digikam/ Thanks in advance Gilles Caulier
