Description Bernhard Kölbl 2023-01-26 15:52:40 UTC
SUMMARY
When searching in the application launcher, the selected entry sometimes makes erratic jumps to some lower listed entries.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Press meta key.
2. Start searching for, for example Discord, or Firefox.
3. The behavior is usually experienced after 3-5 key presses.

OBSERVED RESULT
The first few keypresses still highlight the topmost result, but after 3-5 keystrokes the search usually jumps to a way lower listed result.

EXPECTED RESULT
The topmost result should stay selected except you press the arrow keys.

Operating System: Manjaro Linux
KDE Plasma Version: 5.26.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.102.0
Qt Version: 5.15.8
Kernel Version: 6.1.7-1-MANJARO (64-bit)
Graphics Platform: Wayland

Memory: 15,0 GiB of RAM
Graphics Processor: AMD Radeon Graphics

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Sadly, this bug isn't really easy to reproduce. Many times it seems to happen when external drives are being indexed / shortly after mounting them. Like today the launcher would usually jump to files form an encrypted drive I mounted right before searching.
