Hi, when I make a bug request I have to specify the type of the application/framework/whatever, the bugs corresponds to. The problem is, that I don't know how to find it in the multiple categories/groups. This one was obvious (website/bugs), but I have no idea where is sddm. For newcomers, who doesn't know how KDE works, it is a terrible burden to know if something is a framework or an application. At least, that is what I think. My proposed solution is a search field that helps with this, not unlike the one in System Settings, however I'm not sure if the web site engine can be extended with such capability. If it is possible to change the layout from the two stage choice (first chose the group and click on it, this redirects to the next page where one has to choose the component), into a tree structure (if possible at all with the engine), it may be easier to search, without increasing the visual clutter. Just an idea, but may help a lot with the UX. Best regards, Gergely
That's why there's an "I don't know" option you can click on. It's specifically for this and even says, "File your bug report or feature request here if you don't know where it should go. KDE's bug triagers will move it to the right place!" Adding a search field is something that would need to be done in upstream Bugzilla code; we're just users of it here in KDE and don't have the ability to add that feature ourselves. SDDM isn't a KDE project, and bug reports for it should be filed at https://github.com/sddm/sddm/issues.
I saw the "I don't know option", I just have the feeling, that I should specify it more, but alright then! :) Thanks for the answer!
