SUMMARY

It would be awesome if digiKam could support (therefore view, manipulate, import, and export) images in JPEG XL format: https://jpeg.org/jpegxl

JPEG-XL is supported in digiKam-8.0.0. The prerequisite is that the KImageFormats plugins are compiled with JPEG-XL support. In digiKam-8.0.0 there are corresponding configuration settings (compression) for JPEG-XL in settings.
