I have version 21.12.3-0ubuntu1 of KDE Connect on Linux Mint XFCE edition.  My window manager is XFCE, not KDE.  I paired it to my iPhone 8 which has KDE connect for iOS from the App store, version 0.2.1 (2).  I can do other things with it such as use it as a touchpad and send it a ping to find my phone.  But when I try to send an SMS from my Linux computer by running the KDE, the attached screenshot stays there for many minutes.  I did what it said, clicked Refresh in both the app and the desktop application, but it still won't get past that screen.

Hi, I'm glad that some KDE Connect features are working for you! Unfortunately, KDE Connect iOS currently doesn't support SMS related functionalities. You can check out Settings > Features in the app for a list of supported, in progress, and not yet implemented features.
