Description Bernd 2023-01-17 19:42:38 UTC
SUMMARY
Edge Crop: Top and Bottom pixel values are ignored. Only Left and Right pixel values are taken into account. All the other parameters appear to do nothing
Crop by Padding: X and Y values are only taken into account on the left and the top edge of the clip. Selection of padding color only possible with the color picker tool. Selection of a color from the palette is ignored.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
Edge Crop:
1. Apply the Edge Crop effect to a clip
2. Enter values for Top, Left, Bottom, Right

Crop by Padding:
1. Apply effect to a clip
2. Enter X and Y values
3. Click on the color bar and select a color from the palette

OBSERVED RESULT
Edge Crop: The clip is only cropped on the left and right, not on top and bottom
Crop by Padding: The clip is only cropped at the top and left edge. The color selected from the palette is ignored. Only if the color picker tool is used a color gets selected and is used to fill the gap.

EXPECTED RESULT
Edge crop: The clip is cropped on all sides according to the pixel values entered
Crop by Padding: The clip is cropped equally on all sides by the number of pixels as entered in the X and Y value fields. The created space is filled with the color selected from the palette.
