Description Grósz Dániel 2023-01-17 08:43:22 UTC
SUMMARY
In the Select Directory, please allow using ~ to refer to the home directory in the path input field at the bottom. File dialogs (the ones for selecting a file, rather than a folder) support this; they also support using ~user to refer to that user's home directory.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open a Select Directory dialog, e.g. kdialog --getexistingdirectory
2. Enter ~ (or a path starting with ~) in the path input at the bottom.
3. Click OK.

OBSERVED RESULT
The selected folder in the tree view doesn't change. If you click OK, the dialog returns the folder previously selected in the tree view.

EXPECTED RESULT
The tree view jumps to the entered folder, just like when you enter a path starting with /. If you click OK, it returns the entered folder.
