SUMMARY The shortcut `toggle present all windows (all desktops)` also displays a search box centered on the monitor. I can use that to give focus to an app window but only when using a single display. It does not work with multiple displays. What happens is the search will match the window and give it a blue outline but it won't let me select it by hitting enter, or any other key/combo. When running a single display, Enter does give focus to the matched window. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. run Plasma with 2 or more monitors. 2. trigger the shortcut. 3. search for a window title 4. expect to see matched window highlighted with outline color 5. hit Enter 6. expect nothing to happen OBSERVED RESULT nothing happens. The window is not given focus. The only option is to abandoned the effort by escaping out of the flow. EXPECTED RESULT hitting Enter gives focus to the window and escapes out of the shortcut. It should work the same with one monitor as two or more. Thank you for the bug report! Please note that Plasma 5.25.3 is not supported for much longer by KDE; supported versions are 5.24, and 5.26 or newer. If at all possible please upgrade to a supported version and verify that the bug is still happening there. If you're unsure how to do this, contact your distributor about it.
This was fixed in Plasma 5.26 already. I'd recommend upgrading to it when your distro eventually offers it or switching to a distro that follows Plasma's release schedule more closely.
