Description Philippe ROUBACH 2023-01-15 14:14:21 UTC
In automatic start add :
— the ability to define a delay between the applications and scripts
— to define an order for launching the applications and scripts

Thanks
Comment 1 Nicolas Fella 2023-01-15 14:34:06 UTC
Please explain why this is needed
Comment 2 Nate Graham 2023-01-17 20:51:33 UTC
Presumably to work around bugs in app startup ordering.

...Which should simply be fixed.

As a general matter, please file bug reports on the issues you find, rather than requesting new features to work around those bugs.

1. Randomly I get some troubles.

Some app as Skype are not launched.
Some scripts are partially executed.

I assume there is some lock or bottleneck somewhere when starting the OS or opening a kde session because the OS starts some processes and kde opening a session starts some services
then I wish :
— a delay before beginning the launches.
— a delay between two launches.

2. I want all the apps in a defined order in the systray

Then I wish the ability to define an order of the launches.

To sum up :
kde automatic launch is some sort of task manager.
I ask for enriching this kde task manager.

As I suspected, you want this to work around bugs.

Please file bug reports on the actual issues you encounter, rather than requesting workarounds for them.
