Older versions of 21 compared to the latest 22.12.11 work as expected. If the "When opening an executable file:" option from "General" under "Confirmations" tab is set to "Always ask" dolphin shows a pop-up window with options to either approve or cancel the execution of executables, however version 22 misbehaves and ignores that option.
