SUMMARY
While in Dolphin Thumbnails appeas normally, the Portal chooser, for example for sending a file in Signal Flatpak, sometimes doesnt load thumbnails at all, sometimes only of older images, sometimes all.


STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. use a flatpak app and "open file"
2. choose a folder with images
3. 

OBSERVED RESULT
image loading is inconsistent, often reloading, changing when zooming view

EXPECTED RESULT
normal image thumbnails like in dolphin

This is still happening and it is really strange and impacting usability a lot

Only in the portal open/save dialog? Or also in any non-portal open/save dialogs as well? And how about in Dolphin?

Still only in the filechooser portal.

Tried on the same folder, a camera folder containing mostly JPG files.

In Dolphin, it is not really fast but works fine, when using Firefox (with "use portal" in "about:config" enabled) the same folder, pictures appear waaay slower like 5 times slower, sometimes disappear again.

This may be a memory saving issue? Or a process priority issue? 

Unloading "old" preview thumbnails would make sense if memory is low.
