You might be hitting a set up bug in your kwallet. Moving the bug into the correct component anyway.
Are you using KWallet to store passwords? If not, do you have the "All users may connect to this network" checkbox checked for that wireless network? One of those two things needs to be true for wifi network password to be remembered automatically.

Like I said, you have to be either using KWallet, or have set up the network to save the password for all users. If you didn't do either of those things, then there is no way for the system to remember the password.
