STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1.   Open a file on a mounted drive
2.   Dismount the drive
3.   Attempt to re-open the file

This can also happen if the app is re-opened and a tab references a file that does not exist.

OBSERVED RESULT
The app freezes and eventually closes

EXPECTED RESULT
An error should be displayed (file does not exist).
