When a Dolphin instance is opened, the menu bar shows the symbol "personal folder", followed by the actual folder path (/ > home > my_name > …). A click on the "personal folder" symbol shows a menu containing a long list of the folders and devices that used during the previous months. I do not want Dolphin to memorize all my movements. Can I purge the list? Or better: Can I set up Dolphin in such a way that the menu shows *only* the personal folder, the root folder, and eventually the mount points of mounted file systems. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open a Dolphin instance with a menu bar containing an address field 2. Click on the "personal folder" symbol 3. OBSERVED RESULT A drop-down menu opend that shows the previously visited folders. I am not totally sure if I understand which button you mean, so excuse me if my response will be wrong. I assume you are talking about the button that is only visible when the "Places" panel is hidden. The "Places" panel can be shown/hidden by pressing the F9 key. This button is a replacement for the places panel and therefore contains similar actions as the "Places" panel. You can first show that panel again and then edit the contents of that panel using right-click menus. Perhaps I am confused because I am using Dolphin with German language setting, but I cannot recognize any menu points that deal with file tracking. Regards, Ulrich Deiters

Die zuletzt verwendeten Daten werden nicht von Dolphin direkt verwaltet, sondern zentral für alle Anwendungen durch die Anwendung "Systemeinstellungen", die bei KDE Plasma in der Regel mitgeliefert wird. Falls Sie Dolphin außerhalb der Desktopumgebung KDE Plasma verwenden, dann ist bei Ihnen das Program "Systemeinstellungen", dass zu KDE Plasma gehört, vermutlich gar nicht installiert. Aber grundsätzlich müssten auch andere Desktopumgebungen eine Möglichkeit anbieten, die zuletzt verwendeten Dateien zu verwalten. Wie es genau bei anderen läuft, weiß ich aber nicht so genau. Ich weiß, dass die KDEs Systemeinstellungen auch die zuletzt verwendeten Dateien von Gnome verwalten können sollen, jedoch ist mir nicht bekannt, ob Gnomes Systemeinstellungen auch den Anspruch haben, zuletzt verwendete Dateien von KDE Anwendungen verwalten zu können.

Bei mir ist es unter "Verhalten des Arbeitsbereichs>Zuletzt verwendete Dateien", aber ich sehe gerade, dass das erst neulich an diese Stelle geschoben wurde. Davor war es schwerer zu finden – nämlich unter "Verhalten des Arbeitsbereichs>Aktivitäten>Privatsphäre". Bei Ihnen ist es wohl auch noch dort.
