STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Start Dolphin with space information not displayed in the status bar 2. Right-Click the status bar and choose "Show Space Information" OBSERVED RESULT An empty horizontal bar is shown with no space information EXPECTED RESULT The horizontal bar is partially filled, and a text label is displayed stating the free space. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: KDE neon Unstable Edition KDE Plasma Version: 5.26.80 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.102.0 Qt Version: 5.15.7 Graphics Platform: Wayland ADDITIONAL INFORMATION The space information appears the next time Dolphin is launched
With Dolphin 25.03.70 built from git master today, turning on "Show space information" in the status bar does nothing until Dolphin is restarted (well, actually it makes the zoom control move a little bit to the right)

The space information is now only displayed when it has information to display. So the core bug reported here stays the same: The status bar space information is not correctly retrieved for you when you enable it.
