STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open Settings, check the touch mode

OBSERVED RESULT
No automatic activation for touch mode in 22.04. It worked in the Ubuntu 20.04 - based Neon. In the 22.04/5.26 , there is no way to enable the deactivation/activation of the touch mode when an input device is disconnected/connected. Can you please check this?

EXPECTED RESULT
Automatic touch mode activation works

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
PRETTY_NAME="KDE neon 5.26"
NAME="KDE neon"
VERSION_ID="22.04"
VERSION="5.26"
VERSION_CODENAME=jammy

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Neon is running at me on an x86 tablet device. Otherwise touch screen works well, but the KDE touch mode can be only activated manually.

I don't see a setting called "touch mode". Where do I find it?

Hi,

The setting is in the Settings, Desktop Behaviour.

Or should be there.

"Automatic" only appears on Wayland. Looks like you're using X11.

Thanks! I don't know when it switched back to X11., but nothing referred to what server i'm using.

Additional problems
- Maliit does not accept Shift :D I simply cannot input my password for updating because it contains uppercase :D
- Maliit does only open once, cannot be closed, if i pull down, never comes back
- Onboard crashes on any input
Maliit worked well on 20.04 :(

Please report additional bugs with additional bug reports. See https://community.kde.org/Get_Involved/Issue_Reporting#Multiple_issues_in_a_single_Bugzilla_ticket.

Also JFYI Maliit is really only properly supported in the Plasma Wayland session So make sure you're using that.
