SUMMARY It's about KDE Plasma with WAYLAND Again new problem with kde 5.26.4... I don't know what you did on that new versions but everything is f*ed up... when I had Fedora 36 with KDE 5.24.x there wasn't any problems at all! When I have (or not) connected second screen before first hibernation, after resume second screen is black (without signal), then I try to reconnect it and then screen freezes (main screen, second is still without signal), but it's only screen... when I have for example audio playing it's still playing, so that's not STOPPED system or something... anyway then I have to power off notebook with button. When I have connected second screen before hibernation, then after resume it's black but main screen is working... and when I DISCONNECT second screen it's also freezing. So it's freezing with both options connect and disconnect, but only after resume hibernation. BUT it's only on NOVEAU DRIVERS, when I had nvidia official drivers it was working good (except there was 60hz refresh (should be 240) on second screen) I don't know why so much problems with SECOND SCREEN on that new versions of KDE PLASMA... I have also problem while second screen connected before login to KDE on X11.... https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=462725 STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Hibernate computer 2. After resume try to connect/disconnect (because it's black if it was connected before hibernation) 3. Main screen freezes, second is still black, have to power off button. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: Fedora 37 (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 5.26.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.101.0 Qt Version: 5.15.7 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Kernel: 6.0.12
Hi, I bought new laptop with nvidia rtx 3060, after put on old disk with system which had problem from this bug - after install nvidia official drivers + kernel from https://asus-linux.org it looks like it's working fine now.... so it was somehing with drivers I guess...
Thankfully this should be fixed in Plasma 5.27.
