when I go to Kalendar > Configure Kalendar, clicking on the appearance or accounts list items doesn't do anything, clicking on calendars or info opens the pages, but I still can't access the first 2 from the sidebar.

Do you have kirigami-addons installed? Version 0.6?

I didn't, and installing it solved the issue :)
