SUMMARY I have both Arch and Window$ 7 installed on my machine. I copy/cut via context menu or by pressing the respective shortcut a file/folder located in my Home and then I'm unable to paste it on the desktop of Window$ 7 located at /mount_point_of_window$/Users/myusername/Desktop/ because the option to do it is missing from the context menu and pressing ctrl+v does nothing. Weirdly, I can paste to other locations without any problem, including /mount_point_of_window$/Users/myusername/. I can copy/move with drag-and-drop without any problem. This bug does not always occur but I can reproduce often by following the steps below with Dolphin. I can't reproduce with Nautilus file manager. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. have linux and window$ systems installed on the same machine 2. mount the partition of window$ 3. copy/cut a file/folder located in your Home via context menu or by pressing the keyboard shortcut 4. navigate to /mount_point_of_window$/Users/yourusername/Desktop 5. try to paste via context menu or by pressing ctrl+v OBSERVED RESULT the option to paste is missing from the context menu and pressing ctrl+v does nothing EXPECTED RESULT data is pasted SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: Arch Linux KDE Plasma Version: 5.26.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.101.0 Qt Version: 5.15.7 Graphics Platform: Wayland ADDITIONAL INFORMATION the partition where my Window$ is installed is mounted with ntfs3 driver, if it matters.
Copying/moving via drag-and-drop also fails on Windows 10 OS. Probably something related to Win10 permissions. Operating System: Arch Linux KDE Plasma Version: 6.0.0 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.0.0 Qt Version: 6.6.2 Graphics Platform: Wayland
