SUMMARY The Chocolatey package manager can be used to install and update Windows software from a single place. There are already several KDE software packages in the main repo: https://community.chocolatey.org/packages?q=tag%3Akde. KDE Connect is one such package, but it currently points to the Binary Factory's latest successful Release build for Win64. 2 reasons: 1. The KDE Connect website (https://kdeconnect.kde.org/download.html) has a link to the offline installer for Windows, but it points to a very old build (21.12.3 at the time of reporting this. The latest stable Windows build seems to be 22.08.1). 2. The KDE Download website has a `stable` folder, but even there, KDE Connect has not been updated for over 2 years (https://download.kde.org/stable/kdeconnect/?C=M;O=D). - The only place where KDE Connect is remotely up to date (for Windows) is: https://download.kde.org/stable/release-service/22.08.1/windows/. So, my request is for KDE to ensure that the URL for the offline Windows installer at https://kdeconnect.kde.org/download.html is always kept up to date with the latest stable Windows build. If not that, then the https://download.kde.org/stable/kdeconnect/?C=M;O=D page could be kept up to date with the latest KDE Connect releases for all platforms.
brute4s99 sorry about the extra ping I might have caused. No idea how bugzilla works. I just noticed that you're assigned but not in the CC list.
Looks like the download link on https://kdeconnect.kde.org/download.html is maintained on KDE Invent. I created a merge request to update it: https://invent.kde.org/websites/kdeconnect-kde-org/-/merge_requests/18
Thanks! Now new users will at least get the latest version we have access to.
