STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. open Kate via apps launcher

OBSERVED RESULT
The title of the window is 'Untitled (2)' instead of 'Untitled'

EXPECTED RESULT
The title of the window should be 'Untitled'

Can't reproduce that with 22.12.0 here on NixOS

cannot reproduce with Kate 22.12.1.

This issue is still persistent with me on Arch Linux. Same steps and observed/expected result, although I am running XFCE.
