I get a similar behavior. I have two monitors, and when I wake the monitors from energy saving, they turn on with totally messed up graphical artificating, and I can't get any response from it for about 6 seconds. Then, I can log in as normal. If I disable needing to log back in after energy saving, after this normal 6 seconds of graphical artifacting and no response, sometimes apps will have crashed, including Plasma, creating even more annoyance. Can you open up the "Crashed processes viewer" app and see if there are any `kscreenlocker_greet` crashes?
"Crashed processes viewer" aka DrKonqi does not show these freezes.
Thank you for the bug report. Unfortunately we were not able to get to it yet. Can we ask you to please check if this is still an issue with Plasma 6.2.5 (the latest released version)? If you can still reproduce the bug, please change the Status to "CONFIRMED". Thanks.
I cannot reproduce anymore using Plasma 6.2.4 and Wayland. Issue is fixed for me.
Thanks for following up!
