Is it possible to run Digikam on a macbook built on the M1 or M2 chips? I need to update my macbook; currently I have an intel based macbook, but any upgrade will be based on the M1 or M2 chip. I see that requests for this have been submitted, but it isn't clear if Digikam will run on M1 or M2 chips, either natively, or with some form of virtualization. Many thanks.

The very first thing a new owner of Apple Silicon may want to do is to install Rosetta 2 via: `softwareupdate --install-rosetta`.
