OS/Compiler notes: 

There is no way to subscribe to groups which are not listed. This seems to break with more esoteric NNTP Servers like:
200 WBNews server 1.36 ready - posting allowed
(on bar.baen.com)

This server seems do have problems listing the groups.

With other clients this somehow works
in tin I can subscribe to baen.* and it fetched all groups. With knode there is not
even a way to subscribe to a group without
fetching the whole list before ...

[Mass change for wishlist between year 2002 and 2003] KNode is no longer maintained.
