Description Oded Arbel 2022-12-01 10:20:25 UTC
SUMMARY
Running on Neon unstable with Dolphin 23.03.70 under Wayland.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open a Dolphin window and find a file you can copy.
2. Open a new Dolphin window to a location where you can copy a file (I originally discovered this by opening a mounted drive, but it also reproduces well with just CTRL+N).
3. Drag a file from the old window to the new window.

OBSERVED RESULT
The drag context menu (where you can select if you want to copy or move) opens with window decorations (see artached screenshot).

EXPECTED RESULT
The drag context menu should look like a menu.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma:
KDE Plasma Version: 5.26.80
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.101.0
Qt Version: 5.15.7

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I can only reproduce this issue with a new and untouched Dolphin window. If you select a file in the new window, or navigate to another location, the problem can no longer be reproduced.

This issue is possibly related to bug #453532 . I didn't add this report to that bug because that bug is about side panels and I also think that it is no longer relevant, at least for Dolphin - as new discussion there seems to be centered around a similar issue in Okular.

If you can still produce this issue, please provide the screenshot mentioned and change the status back to REPORTED.

I was quite surprised, but it does still reproduce. I'll do you one better - here's a screencast.
Comment 3 Oded Arbel 2025-02-09 19:26:42 UTC
The reason I was surprised is that this bug was reported against the 5.27 alpha, and I'm now running the 6.3 beta:

Operating System: KDE neon Testing Edition
KDE Plasma Version: 6.2.90
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.11.0
Qt Version: 6.8.2
Kernel Version: 6.8.0-52-generic (64-bit)
Graphics Platform: Wayland
Processors: 20 × 12th Gen Intel® Core™ i7-12700H
Memory: 31.0 GiB of RAM
Graphics Processor: Intel® Graphics

Thanks for the screencast. Confirmed on 24.12.2 from Flatpak/Flathub (Qt 6.8.2, Frameworks 6.10.0).
