Description crumblyliquid 2022-11-30 19:52:50 UTC
SUMMARY
The Logitech G Pro Wireless mouse shows up as 'Keyboard battery' in Info Center -> Energy when connected via cable. When connected via the dongle it works as intended (shows up as 'Mouse battery').

One thing I noticed is that the serial number changes between the two.

Sadly I don't have any other wireless mice to test with.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Connect the G Pro Wireless via the charging cable.
2. Open Info Center and select the 'Energy' tab in the 'Basic Information' section

OBSERVED RESULT
When connected via cable, the mouse battery shows up as 'Keyboard battery'

EXPECTED RESULT
When connected via cable, it should show up as 'Mouse battery' the same way it does when it's connected via the dongle.

Yeah, multi-button mice notoriously often identify themselves as keyboards for some reason.

I don't think anything can be done here. This is an upstream issue in upower.
