SUMMARY

There's a bug somewhere where Yakuake (or some other underlying component) stops reading updates to the clipboard until some text inside of Yakuake is copied.

I wish I had reproduction steps but effectively what happens is "something" and then I can copy text a million times in emacs, other applications like Firefox and Telegram will see the text update, but when I paste in Yakuake it's an old clipboard entry. If you select some text in Yakuake and copy it that seems to "reset" things. You can then go back to emacs, and copy the desired text where upon returning to Yakuake it will paste successfully.

It's exceptionally strange, and it's similar to some other weird clipboard things I've seen on KDE over the years, though this is the only one I've seen in recent memory (perhaps since switching to Wayland I think a year or so ago).
