SUMMARY *** NOTE: If you are reporting a crash, please try to attach a backtrace with debug symbols. See https://community.kde.org/Guidelines_and_HOWTOs/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports *** STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. My company uses a VPN that can be connected to using Juniper Network Connect. 2. Apparently, one of the certificates installed on the VPN server has expired. So attempting to connect to that VPN connection results in a prompt from KDE Daemon Check failed for certificate from VPON server "<IP ADDRESS> Reason: certificate expired Accept it anyway? with OK and Cancel buttons. 3. I click "OK" to connect nevertheless. OBSERVED RESULT Nothing happens. The VPN connection window closes without establishing a connection. After that it is impossible to establish new VPN connections via this or any other VPN connections - the connection dialog does not even come up/ EXPECTED RESULT I can still connect to the VPN despite certificate expiration (as implied by the KDE Daemon prompt) and/or the other VPN connections can still be established. Thanks for the bug report, and I'm sorry we weren't able to get to it yet. Can I ask you to see if the issue is still happening in Plasma 6.4 or later?
Sadly, I have no way of checking this anymore. We got acquired, switched to a different VPN, and last but not least my work laptop is a Mac ...
Yikes! Well unfortunately I think that leaves this bug dead in the water without a way for anyone to test it.
