SUMMARY
After turning on graphical preview of HTML file, the whole Kate GUI becomes glitchy. The GUI remains glitchy after the preview is closed. Kate needs to be restarted in oreder to fix it.
Possibly wayland related.


STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open HTML file in kate (minimal HTML with some text is sufficient)
2. Open the preview

OBSERVED RESULT
Text edit box in kate is glitching when selecting or writing text.
The rest of the kate GUI is also affected.

EXPECTED RESULT
No graphical glitches

The preview plugin is not maintained, if you want to have this improved, please
submit a merge request, otherwise that will stay the way it is at the moment.

I am sorry that does create issues for you, but the only other fix would be to remove it.
