SUMMARY *** NOTE: If you are reporting a crash, please try to attach a backtrace with debug symbols. See https://community.kde.org/Guidelines_and_HOWTOs/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports *** STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Not applicable because not present 2. 3. OBSERVED RESULT Plasma is lacking of a touch mode for convertibles or touch devices (talking more about x86 devices here). Using a convertible/touch device in tablet mode, switch to touchscreen mode. Using the device classic, switch to desktop mode. Iām talking about a feature like a Dashboard with a (finger friendly) switch which opens it to select the app/program, and not increase spacing and size of the icons, as is being implemented at the time of creation of this entry. EXPECTED RESULT The Desktop modes should be switchable between them, automatic and manual. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: macOS: Linux/KDE Plasma: (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 5.x KDE Frameworks Version: Qt Version: ADDITIONAL INFORMATION While new to Bug Tracker I don't know if this is the correct place for posting. If not, please move it to the right one. Further I'm not a software developer, so possibility to post t on a wrong section is high.
We already have this: it's called Touch Mode. If you're on Wayland, it activates automatically if you convert a convertible laptop into tablet mode. You can also turn it on and off manually in System Settings > Workspace Behavior > Touch Mode On X11, you can only manually turn it on and off.
