Drag the "krita" file to "Applications" folder 4. double click on "krita" file OBSERVED RESULT Error message display : "krita" is dammaged and cannot be opened. Sorry, but it works fine on my macOS Ventura 13 14" macbook pro and on my 15" intel macbook pro with macOS 10.14. MacOS version numbering has gotten confusing in recent years; if you're not using Ventura 13 but 10.13, you might need this workaround: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3py0kgq95Hk -- this is an Apple thing, not a bug in Krita, though. Apple changed their app verification ways a bit too often.
